Theory and practice of brewing
The brewing workshop lasts around 6.5 hours in total. During this time, you will be supervised by a beer sommelier and brew your own beer under his expert guidance. After a welcome and a small snack, you will learn more about the history and production of beer. Then it's on to the practical side of brewing, specifically mashing, stirring, resting and lautering. While the wort is boiling and the hops are being added, there will be a break in the program: you will now be served a delicious brewer's meal.
Bottle and enjoy
After lunch, the brewing course continues. Now it's time for the production steps in the whirlpool, the addition of yeast and bottling in the fermentation barrel. Afterwards, the sommelier will introduce you to the flavours and tell you which dishes go particularly well with the different beer styles. The event is rounded off with a small snack platter.
After 6 to 8 weeks, your beer will be ready and will be bottled and labelled by the course instructor. You can then collect your beer bottles from the brewery.
