The secret recipe of the spicy Muotathaler cheese
Do you know the Muotathaler cheese and would you like to know why it is so spicy? You will discover the secret recipe on the spot. You will learn how cheese, butter and cream are made in Muotathal and you can look over the alpine farmer's shoulders as he works. You can also help pressing the curd, "fugnen" (swinging the milk) and making alpine butter.
Honey, Örgeli and other traditions
During your visit to the Muotathal there is much more to learn and experience with all your senses. For example, a beekeeper and his colony of bees are waiting for your visit and can tell you many exciting things about the industrious honeybees. And the social folk culture of Muotathal also has interesting things to offer: Listen to the traditional sounds of the Schwyzerörgeli and discover the "Geisslächlepfä".
Up to 24 people you can choose from 3 different activities and from 25 people one activity is added.
Apéro to round off the meal
So much culture makes you hungry and thirsty. If you wish, you and your guests can enjoy a Muotathaler Apéro with alpine cheese from the region and other local specialities and thus get to know the Muotathal better from its culinary side.
