Guiding between coffee trees
Have you ever been to a coffee plantation? You don't have to travel to the tropics for this, but only as far as the Bernese Oberland. Numerous coffee trees of various species grow in the extensive tropical house. Depending on the season, you can discover the scent of the coffee blossom or taste coffee fruits of various varieties. You will learn what is actually in coffee and discover its way from the tree to the cup.
All about coffee
During the varied guided tour you will experience at first hand: Where and how does coffee grow? What types are there? What does the fruit of coffee taste like? What does the coffee blossom smell like? How is coffee processed? How important is roasting? And is coffee actually healthy or unhealthy?
Coffee with all senses
In the workshop that follows, you will take a closer look at roasted coffee: in a professional tasting session, the differences in botany, processing, roasting, etc. will be explained in terms of taste. Look forward to a workshop that is unique in this form in Europe.
Gourmet dinner under palm trees
Coffee can do even more! Go on a culinary voyage of discovery and then enjoy a first-class dinner in a tropical ambience, where each course contains at least one component from the coffee plant. You will be surprised at the variety of aromas and flavours that can be conjured from the coffee plant, from the leaf to the cherries and the bean. Look forward to an unforgettable gourmet dinner under banana and papaya trees from a kitchen with 14 Gault-Millau points.
