Experience Appenzell customs for yourself

Would you like to get to know old Appenzeller traditions on a pretty farm? Then this is the perfect occasion.

During three hours we show you the following activities:

• Traditional peasant painting with a female painter
  
• Prepare butter yourself with the farmer
  
• Cows grooming with a specialist for cows
  
• Wood sawing as in the old days

Additional stations are available as required.

First, four groups are formed, which rotate every half hour from tradition to tradition. All necessary material as well as the working clothes for grooming the cows are provided.

Last but not least, each participant may take home his or her own made butter toy and the specially painted picture. The pictures make a great piece of art when put together.

To round off the "Appenzöller day" in a relaxed atmosphere, we will also be happy to organise a wholesome meal for you. On request, an Appenzeller string music will play.
