Good for body and mind
Be with yourself, take a deep breath and slow down your own pace: This mindfulness training in the forest helps you and your team, club or group to switch off from everyday life and become more aware of your connection to nature again.
Forest bathing, known as "Shinrin Yoku" in Japanese tradition, offers numerous health benefits: walking through the forest strengthens the immune system, reduces stress, lowers blood pressure and, especially in the darker months of the year, spending time in the fresh air also helps to combat depressive moods.
The procedure
The qualified mindfulness trainer will guide you and your team through this relaxing experience. Forest bathing can either take place near the trainer's home in Emmental or at a location of your choice.
A threshold phase introduces the stay in the forest. Old thoughts are consciously released. Consciously breathing in and out marks the start of the mindful experience. Now it starts - very slowly. Every step is perceived, all senses are involved. What does the forest smell like, what sounds can you hear? The focus on nature makes stress disappear. On request, yoga exercises, Qi Gong, meditation or the joint creation of a nature mandala can be incorporated into the forest bathing experience.
This is followed by a moment of silence for each participant: you relax for a few minutes all to yourself and choose a spot under a tree, in the moss or in a clearing - just as it feels right for you. At the end, the group comes together again and lingers over a cup of tea before returning to everyday life.
