Hike at Lake Walen
Let the mountain taxi take you to the sun terrace of Walenstadtberg. In the cosy "Bergbeizli" you can fortify yourself with coffee and homemade pear bread for the day. From there begins your two-hour guided hike over alpine meadows and forest paths, along a well-maintained hiking trail which steadily approaches Lake Walen and finally leads to the water. On an idyllic lakeside path you reach the car-free wine village of Quinten on the southern slope of Lake Walen.
Lunch and wine tasting
Time for a lunch stop: In the fish restaurant directly on the waterfront a fine meal awaits the hungry hikers - now you will be treated to fresh delicacies. After a short walk, you will reach the rustic Weintorkel, where you will be welcomed by a local winegrower and have the opportunity to get to know the fine wines of the region: a variety of local wines and schnapps are available for tasting.
Return journey by ship
For the crowning finale you go on board a ship which will rock you comfortably across Lake Walen. Against the impressive backdrop of the mighty Churfirsten peaks you can review the whole day's tour from the water.
