Hiking through the snow
On snowshoes you hike through sparse forest and snowy alpine meadows. The leisurely tour leads you through beautiful landscapes, which let you experience the winterly nature. On the way your guide will give you exciting insights into avalanche awareness.
Avalanche awareness
Your introduction to avalanche awareness will be vivid, with explanations and stories from everyday life and examples directly in the field to help you understand the context. For example, you dig a snow profile and see the different layers in the snowpack. In a simple way, you learn together how to use a shovel, probe and avalanche transceiver (LVS).
Teamwork and Apéro
In small teams it is then necessary to practice the emergency: Your task is to locate and dig out the buried avalanche beacons as quickly as possible. After this practical part, the event continues at a leisurely pace: a mulled wine aperitif at a forest hut lit by torches rounds off the event.
