Raft through spectacular alpine river gorges, a rafting experience you’ll never forget.

The Engadin, a high alpine valley in the south eastern corner of Switzerland is home to one of the best white water rafting rivers in Europe, the Inn. The river has its source amongst the glaciers and lakes of the Bernina Alps that surround St Moritz and it has cut a series of spectacular gorges through the forests of the Engadin. It is these gorges that make this river one of the most attractive white-water destinations in the world.

The three commercially rafted sections are the Giarsun gorge, the Scuol gorge and the Martina section. Each section has its own unique character and challenges. Whether you choose a half or full-day tour, the Inn offers a variety of experiences.

Our Rafting Day-Trip

We meet at 10:20 at our raft base just a few meters from the train station in Scuol. The base is situated at the bottom of the ski station and has plenty of parking nearby. After being greeted by our guides all participant are fitted out with neoprene long-johns, jackets, booties, buoyancy-aids and helmets. We have changing rooms, showers (a sauna) and somewhere to keep your valuables. After the safety and paddle instruction we head to the put-in 5 kilometers away and run the Scuol gorge. This takes a couple of hours after which we transfer back to the base for a grilled lunch (Pork steak, potatoes, salad, bread, drinks, tea and coffee) before making our way to the Giarsun put-in at Susch.
The afternoon run through the Giarsun gorge is world-renowned and the action doesn’t let up until we reach the take-out at Ardez where we are met by our rafting bus and returned to the raft base. Back at the base you can have a shower enjoy a beer and peruse the pictures taken by our photographer (one or two of each raft is posted on our Facebook page).
