The workshop
In this workshop, you will go through all the steps of bread making - from starting the sourdough culture to the finished, deliciously fragrant loaf. Enjoy the special, charming atmosphere in the rustic kitchen, which is located in the former Solothurn monastery in the heart of the city.
The retired master baker will show you how to correctly prepare a sourdough, how to feed and store it and how it can be further processed. Once you have learned all about handling sourdough, you will get to work yourself. It's time for mixing and kneading, shaping and finally baking. During the workshop, you will be supported by a professional - so every step is a success.
Taste your bread
As soon as the finished bread comes out of the oven, it is of course tasted: In the Wystübli in the monastery building, you can taste the homemade delicacy at the long table, accompanied by a glass of water or wine, cheese and sausage.
One portion of ready-to-drink basic sour per participant is included and can be taken home. This gives you the opportunity to make your own bread at any time.
