Instrument Making
This workshop will amaze you. Using honeycomb cardboard and plywood, you’ll create a cajón—a sitting drum—that’s also perfect for making wonderful music. Making music together is the focus of the event, and instruments will be provided for you if needed. However, if you have enough time, you can build these unusual instruments yourself right there on site. It takes at least three hours to build a Cajatón and then play it.
Making Music
No prior musical experience is required to play the Cajatón. You’ll make music without sheet music. Under expert guidance, you’ll create various rhythms that you’ll continuously compose and arrange together. This experience is ideal for fostering team spirit, because few things strengthen team cohesion more than making music together. Of course, you can take your self-built Cajatón home or to the office afterward and play it again and again, whether alone or as a team.
