Schmieden in einer historischen Schmitte
In Bern befindet sich eine der schönsten Schmitten der Schweiz. In dieser historisch bedeutsamen Stätte wird immer noch mit dem klassischen Essefeuer gearbeitet. Da, wo normalerweise Pferde beschlagen werden, schmieden Sie unter Anleitung eines ausgebildeten Schmiedes Ihren persönlichen Grillspiess oder ein anderes Gadget. Lassen Sie sich in dieses archaische Handwerk einweihen und erfahren Sie Wissenswertes rund um die hohe Kunst des Schmiedens.
From hot iron to utensil
The smith demonstrates how the iron is heated in the forge until it becomes red-hot and thus malleable. Then the hammer is used: the glowing iron is shaped on the anvil by targeted hammer blows.
Become the smith of your own fortune and make your personal fondue or barbecue skewer. Also possible are a letter or bottle opener or a lucky nail.
Barbecue fun with fine barbecue specialities
After the forging, an open charcoal barbecue and a barbecue buffet with selected cuts of meat await you outdoors on the forging area or in our wonderful, green paddock (shelter in bad weather).

Possible additional activities
We would be happy to put together an attractive, varied programme according to your wishes. For groups of more than 10 people, we recommend splitting up the group so that the waiting time of the individual participants is not too long.
