Learn the garden basics
You don't need a large area to plant a garden - a balcony or windowsill is enough. Urban gardening contributes to biodiversity, improves the climate and also provides you with crisp vegetables and fresh herbs from your own garden.
In this workshop, you will learn everything you need to get started as a gardener. Your gardening professional will provide you with the necessary basic knowledge about soil, plant containers, weather and the right seeds. You will then learn about seasonally selected vegetables and plants such as salads, herbs, carrots, tomatoes and edible flowers.
Create your own little garden
Finally, you and your group will get hands-on and plant seedlings and seeds in your own mobile bed. You can bring a suitable container for this yourself - or you can order one in advance from the course leader. At the end of the course, the gardening professional will give you useful tips on how to look after your small garden. Thanks to a detailed course handout, you can create additional small beds for your home or office at any time.
The workshop takes place at one of the course locations in Zurich or Winterthur. On request, the instructor can also come to the location of your choice, be it your company or an external venue.
