The experience in the Bernese Oberland
Invite your team for a special winter fun and set off for the Bernese Oberland for ice fishing on the frozen Oeschinensee. The mountain lake has been part of the UNESCO World Heritage "Swiss Alps Jungfrau-Aletsch" since 2007. Let your guide introduce you to the secrets of ice-fishing in this beautiful landscape and forget the daily routine with its hectic and noise.
Two teams, many activities
While one team learns interesting things about ice fishing, drills a hole in the thick layer of ice and then prepares the fishing rod for fishing, the other team enjoys a winter pentathlon at the Berghotel Oeschinensee. Then the change takes place. Those who don't want to go ice-fishing can go sledging, take a walk or simply relax by the fireplace at the mountain hotel. After the proclamation of rank at the mountain hotel and a delicious lunch, you'll whizz back down into the valley to Kandersteg on what is probably the fastest toboggan run in the Bernese Oberland.
The Winter Games in detail
For the winter pentathlon, choose from a variety of activities those five that appeal to you. Here are some of the games available to you:
- Blind House: Can you manage to build a house made of mountain ropes blindfolded?
- Snow soccer: Have you ever tried playing soccer with snowshoes?
- Treasure hunt in the snow: Who will find the buried wooden box first with the avalanche beacon?
- Quiz: Do you know about ice fishing, the Oeschinensee and the surrounding area?
- Additionally: snow hockey, horseshoe throwing, betting nails, tree trunk saws, flag-waving and much more >>
Lunch at Berghotel Oeschinensee
If you wish, you can fortify yourself after the activities with a fine meal in the warm mountain restaurant. You have the choice of two menu variations: The "rustic" menu consists of the soup of the day or a small leaf salad with Oeschi dressing, followed by yeti-macaroni on a light cream sauce with homemade onion grilled, served with fresh homemade bread (28 CHF). The "Gourmet" menu starts with a small mixed salad with Kandersteger sliced cheese and homemade garlic bread, then you will be spoiled with a "Suure Mocke" on a creamy red wine sauce with vegetables and mashed potatoes (alternative: fried trout fillets with homemade mountain herb butter, vegetables, fried potatoes), and for dessert a roasted cream awaits you (42 CHF)
