Concentration and fun
Similar to curling, the aim of curling is to shoot the stick as close to the "stave" as possible. In the curling discipline, on the other hand, the winner is the participant who gets the curling stick under a wooden frame and hits the sign with the highest score.
In the former Capuchin monastery, you and your guests compete in this game, which requires concentration and is great fun in equal measure. You compete against each other in small groups. A prize awaits the winners. Even if it is snowing outside, you are protected from the weather at this event: The curling rink is located indoors in the choir of the profaned monastery church.
For a special Christmas dinner
The event is just as suitable for a cozy get-together in a team as it is - in combination with a delicious three-course menu - as a very special Christmas dinner. The monastery also offers you and your guests plenty of culinary delights: You can have an aperitif made from home-made products served with the game and then enjoy a three-course menu with monastery specialties or a fondue with the home-made gin if you wish. All dishes are seasonal. They are made in the monastery or come from regional producers.
Culinary offers
If you opt for an aperitif during the game, you will be served a nice selection of homemade crispbread, Klosterzüpfe with garden herbs, mountain cheese, sour cream and lentil pesto.
If you wish, you can sit down to a delicious three-course meal with monastery specialties after the game. The menu:
- Cloister soup
- Capuchin plucked roast with smoky plum sauce and a dash of gin, served with oven vegetables and mashed potatoes or courgette pasta with cream cheese (vegi)
- Lukewarm apple pie with nidle
If the weather is good, eat the monastery soup from an old military chessi in the 170-year-old beech forest. Depending on the size of the group, the main course and dessert are served in the refectory, the cloister or the Wystübli.
Alternatively, you can enjoy the gin fondue with the original cheese blend from the Maître Fromager. A starter and dessert can also be served on request.
