The trendy drink gin
Gin, the high-proof distillate made from juniper berries (Latin "juniperus", hence the English name "genever", forerunner of today's gin), has become a trendy spirit in recent decades. The most famous ambassador is the Queen Mum, who sipped her glass with distinction. But (almost) all mere mortals also love gin, whether neat or in cocktails such as Martini, Negroni and of course as a long drink, gin and tonic. There are now several thousand varieties. In this workshop, you will learn more about gin and distil your own juniper schnapps.
Distilling in a team
In small groups of five people, you will take your first steps in the art of distilling. The workshop begins in the herb garden. After the theoretical introduction, you will get hands-on and create your own gin. During the distillation process, you will gain a lot of background knowledge about this popular spirit. With your own London Dry Gin in your luggage, you can enjoy the high-proof experience again at home. Chin-chin!
