The other way of sightseeing
"Urban Golf" is a derivative of the classic game of golf. On this golf course, the nine holes are laid out to create an interesting tour of Burgdorf. The game takes you from the station district via Schützenmatte to the old town. Finally, you play on the time-honored cobblestone streets of Burgdorf. Take in the beautiful ambience as you stroll from one golf course to the next.
This is how the game works
Go to the Burgdorf tourist office and pick up your clubs, the Bäseli for teeing off and a points card. You will also receive a QR code to start the golf tour. Each of the nine golf courses in the urban area is mapped with a starting point and a finishing point. Now the aim of each course is to play the ball from the respective starting point to the destination in as few strokes as possible. The tee shot is always made from the tee broom provided. The number of strokes required for each hole is noted on the score card for each player. A maximum of nine strokes per hole applies. If the ball has not reached the target after nine strokes, ten points are noted.
Playing in large groups
To avoid long waits for larger groups during the game, divide into smaller groups of three to six people. Each group starts at a different lane. This way, all groups can start at the same time without getting in each other's way.
Glowing golf balls for night golfing
You can also play urban golf in the dark season or in the evening. Glow-in-the-dark golf balls are available so that you can easily find them again in the dark if you miss the target. Book a night golf game through Burgdorf in winter or before your next Christmas dinner.
